Well, where to start? Still lots and lots of birds around. Yesterday I checked Viðareiði in strong winds. 11 Skylarks (my highest count ever on the Faroes), a fly by Richard’s Pipit (probably same as earlier this week), Arctic Redpoll (that vanished), 50+ Bramblings, 2 Waxwings and Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs in good numbers.
And by the way there was an interesting Redstart.
Today I checked Viðareiði again, but the Arctic Redpoll was gone. But in Árnafirði I found a splendid male Sparrowhawk. The first male I’ve seen on the Faroes.
In Kunoy there were two Yellow-browed Warblers, Chiffhcaffs, a Willow Warbler and a few Bramblings.
Let’s see what the next days bring.
