Today the weather was bad. Up 30 m/s makes birding hard! You should try it. But with all the good birds in Shetland I had to go out, so I braved the elements and checked Viðareiði.
Soon I located a distant harrier, but it went missing right away. But after some search I relocated it and it turned out to the 6th Hen Harrier for the Faroes and my second. Of course I hoped it would be a Pallid, but trees don’t grow into heaven – especially not on the Faroes.
After the Hen Harrier I checked the village only to find 5 Yellow-browed Warblers.
