Two days ago I went to Sandoy. Last week Rodmund used a few hours there and within half an hour he had found both American Wigeon and Green-winged Teal. So I had to give it a shot.
It soon turned out to be a good goose-day with 140 Greylags, 3 Eastern Greater White-fronted, Pink-footed and a Tundra Bean Goose around.
After a while I also located the male American Wigeon among a flock of 200+ Wigeons, but the Green-winged Teal could not be found.
Other birds around included 21 Teal, Common Merganser and Goldeneye.
