Today I checked Eiði, Hvalvík and Rituvík. Nothing exceptional was around, but two Yellow-browed Warblers and another Lesser Whitethroat with an eastern feel to it were the best birds seen.
Patrik Wildjang and I have been corresponding a little about the sightings we did on our trips together. See his comment on the blog for more details. For now I’ll just add some more pictures of the Canada/Cackling Goose-type.
It is true that there are lots of weird geese around – especially on Sandoy, but I’ve never seen any bird like the goose at Vágar.
