Today it was typical Faroese weather. Showers, rain, a few rays of sun and then more rain. I only got to go out for an hour or so and decided to check Kunoy.
In the plantation I relocated the Two-barred Crossbill right away. This time it gave splendid views, so I was quite happy.
Other birds included a Redpoll and a Chiffchaff. With the Redpolls brown rump and brown appearance a case could be made about this one being a carbaret (Lesser Redpoll) – unless juvenile flammeas can look like this.
And of course there was a skulky acro around pretending to be a Booted Warbler or something, but this one got photographed at least!

Acro with rather long primary projection, warm brown tone and only faint white tips on the primaries. But that bill doesn’t look so long and the breast is not that buff… Somebody needs to catch those bastards…
