Chaos gulling

Iceland Gull

Yesterday there were more than 500 gulls in Klaksvík. Most birds were Herring Gulls but about 120 Iceland Gulls were also present. It is simply chaos and almost impossible to check all the Iceland Gulls for some faint markings on the primaries. But I did find 4 well-marked Kumlien’s Gulls – but the number could be somewhat higher.

The usual brownie

I would wish that some of you gull freaks could experience this, ’cause it is truly awesome to see all these white gulls down to a few meters distance. But in order to give you a slight feeling of the chaos gulling I have posted some high res pics below, so you can check the gulls yourself. Enjoy!
