Today the sun was shining. On such days the spring does not feel too far away. The days are also longer and the sun provides some heat. Furthermore it was a rare opportunity to get some nice photos of the white-wingers. So todays blog will just contain some pics. And a sad story at the end.
Todays total was “only” 100 Iceland Gulls and two Kumlien’s Gulls in Klaksvík and 39 Iceland Gulls and two Kumlien’s Gulls in Hvannasund. But todays bad surprise came in Viðareiði. The Bean Goose was still present with the domestic geese – but it has an explanation. Someone has cut the right outer-wing off the bird, so it is flightless. The police has been informed as it is illegal to hunt or hurt geese on the Faroes.
