Black duck

Autumn has come and passed – wake me up when february ends. It is tempting to think something like that, but why be so depressed? You just have to find the small pieces of joy out there. And finally I pulled myself together to twitch the longstaying black duck in Tórshavn. Acturally I saw a hybrid two days ago which inspired me to get the real deal. And yes, it was present in its pond. But unfortunantly it was quite fightly, so I didn’t get any superb images – but who cares? It’s just a black duck…

I did my best to find some really good stuff (pine grosbeak) in the plantation i Tórshavn, but I only managed to find the also longstaying mandarin duck, a handfull of mealy redpolls and a few siskins… so nothing much to report today. But maybe Svínoy will be good tomorrow? Two days of southeasterlies and 70+ pine grosbeaks at Utsira – the chance for a pinebeak doesn’t get much bigger, huh?

    Hej Ragnar!
