My wife was set to give birth to our second child on the 30. august, but nothing has happened yet. So there hasn’t been a whole lot of time to do any serious birding. But I have managed to get out for a few hours the last to days. Yesterday was totally dead. There was absolutly nothing at some of the southeastern hotspots. Well, of course the birds can be here, but there is a lot of wind and rain, which makes birding very difficult.
Today the weather is rather clear, but still some 15 m/s, so birding passerines is hard. And it is even harder when you think of the eastern olive, sykes’s and pallid harrier at Utsira, the brown flycatcher in UK and the two arctic and one greenish warbler in Shetland…
But I’ll just wait till the wind calms down or the water breaks.
